Toddler Boy Valentine's Baskets - Planning

I may be the only one, but the stocking have always been my favorite part of Christmas gifts. I find such joy in finding small gifts that my boys will love and play with. I also know that we already have so many toys, games, and stuffed animals (which are apparently now called stuffies?) so I try to be intentional about what I put in them. However, after Christmas there is a lot of winter left to get through, and Easter baskets feel so far away. So, I decided to start making the boys Valentine's baskets to give me something fun to work on in January. Obviously, these are not necessary and if it's not something you would enjoy doing, don't do it! I do try to incorporate things that I think the boys will need in the upcoming season. I also love finding items to fit a theme, so anything hearts and red get considered as well.

Some of the types of items I have been considering for my boy's baskets are:

  • Pajamas
  • Books (of course!)
  • Play kitchen items
  • Rain boots
  • Sweatshirts
  • Slippers
  • Winter accessories (hats/gloves, not that my boys would wear them๐Ÿ˜‚)
  • New Tonies
  • Candy/snacks
  • Art supplies
I won't end up getting them all of those things, but hopefully that gives you some ideas! Also, I have been known to add in things that they already have and maybe have forgotten about, so don't be afraid to shop your own house ๐Ÿ˜‰

As far as baskets go, I usually use something I have already have. If you don't have something I would highly recommend getting something that you can use throughout the year so it doesn't just take up space. Our Easter baskets are super cute but 99% of the year they just take up space in a closet. I try to avoid that as much as possible!

I have created an Amazon Idea List with additional items I have purchased or am considering for my boys. Happy shopping!
